Physical and chemical property:

Colorless oil-like inflammable liquid boiling point 188°C(decomposition). Hardening point-26.8°C, density(20/4°C)1.3322, flash point 188.3°C,soluble in aether, acetone, aromatic hydrocarbon, slightly soluble in carbon bisulfide, aliphatic hydrocarbon, and water.

Usage:

Dimethyl Sulfate is used to make dimethyl sulphoxide, coffeinum, codeine. Vanillin, aminopyrine, trimethoprim, acephate and other pesticides.
